The wall between record and model

VIIQ publishes two kinds of figures and never mixes them. Recorded figures come from a named primary source and appear as solid fills. Modeled figures are estimates produced by a stated method and appear as hatched fills, always labeled.

Every number on this site can be traced to the document it came from.

Corrections

When VIIQ gets something wrong, the correction is posted, dated, and left visible. Corrected pages carry a notice rather than a silent edit.
